It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! And in our house it's a pluthura of Christmas trinkets everywhere. One of them being the four Christmas trees in our home. They make everything so festive and beautiful and I love the warm feeling I get when I look at them.

Ayla and Holden love decorating the tree. They thoroughly enjoy taking every ornament out of the boxes at their own pace and watch as mommy freaks out and has a slight anxiety attack.
They're fragile kids! Put that back! Holden, don't put that hook in your mouth you're not a fish! Steeeeeevvvvvvve!!!
Every year our tree decorating tradition has been to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. It's the perfect way to get us into the spirit. We absolutely love that movie! With the movie playing the kids get started on decorating the tree. Supervised by the ornament police of course!

It's really cute watching them place ornaments on the tree. They have become what seems to be very particular in where to place each ornament only to turn around and see them all bunched together in the lower part of the tree.

Our main Christmas tree in our living room is a perfectly lit fake tree. And I love it but I also have to have a real tree. I love the way it smells. The tree farm we go to is awesome. Ayla and Holden love running up and down the rows of trees searching for their idea of the perfect tree.

Once we all agree on our family tree Steve with the help of the kids take er' down!

Afterwards, we head up to the cider house, warm up, and have a cup o' apple cider before heading home.

Growing up I remember my mom coming home with these tiny trees that had present on them. One for me and one for my sister making them our own special Christmas trees. And I remember how magical it felt. I wanted the same for my kids. But I went a little bit bigger and now Ayla and Holden have 3ft trees with their own decorations and such in their room. I have snuck in on them sitting by their tree staring at it. It's one of those very special moments you treasure.
