There were subtle changes between this pregnancy and the last that made me believe we were having a boy. Like all day nausea and craving chocolate milk which eventually lead to me having kidney stones at 34 weeks. And Holden kicked really hard. He clearly wanted to make his presence known. Holden's birth was an adventure in itself. Because of the kidney stones I opted to be induced at 37 weeks. I could not wait to meet my little guy and by his 17 minute arrival he couldn't wait to meet us!
It's truly amazing how time passes by. I look at Holden realizing he's not a baby anymore but an humorous, loving, handsome 2 year old. Holden is our little adventurer. Every time he jumps off the bed in attempt to fly like Buzz Light Year we can't help but shake our heads with a grin from ear to ear. And when he spreads his arms out and yells "to infinity and beyond" we can't help but laugh hysterically. And when he just runs and throws his arms around us and kisses us our hearts melt. And even though he could care less about counting to 10 or reciting his ABC's he makes us proud by drinking dirt and splashing in the mud and the endless amounts of food he consumes.
Holden, you are the everlasting sparkle in our hearts and we love you so very much. Happy 2nd Birthday to our little buddy.
