This past weekend we left the country for a mini getaway to Victoria. It's been years since I've been there and have forgotten how pretty it was. Since everything is within walking distance we took the foot ferry over and walked all over town. We also celebrated of my good friends' birthday. If you ever go to Victoria you have to eat at Il Terrazzo ,they have the best Italian food I have ever eaten and their courtyard dining area is beautiful.
It's hard not to go to Victoria and not go to The Butchart Gardens. It was a last minute decision to go and we only had a little over an hour to see it all. I wish we had more time. It is truly one of the most beautiful places.
On Sunday Steve and I came across this huge park. It had everything: a petting farm, putting green, garden mazes, ponds and a playground. It was a shame the kids were asleep...
We had a great time hanging out with our good friends and it was nice to get away with the kids before school starts. But I am so ready for school to start. One more week!
