Kid Co-Op Day 4: Bouncy House & Ice Cream Shopping

Thank goodness I'm only open Monday's from 10 to 4 with a maximum occupancy of 6.

This past Monday I was back to having six kids and what kind of craziness did I decide to do? Not stay at home and let them play in the back yard like a person with common sense would do. Oh no, I thought it would fun to load up six kids and go somewhere. Cramming six car seats and trying to figure out what goes where...I'm renting a bus next time.

I decided to take the kids to the bouncy houses at The Zone. It was perfect because the kids had the place to themselves. They had a blast jumping, sliding and just being free to roam!

Afterwards they all wanted ice cream however we hadn't had lunch yet. I told them that they could pick out something at the store and have it later in the day. What was I thinking? Seriously?...The grocery store? Six kids...

Lucky for me I had one of our babysitters with us and she was so much help. Here we are at the grocery store, two shopping carts and an entire isle dedicated to ice cream.

Unfortunately they didn't have individual ice cream cones for them to choose from. Trying to mediate and get them to agree on one was impossible and not worth it. So, three boxes later we were on our way to the other end of the store.

The Seafood Department: "Almost better than the Aquarium"

We had to go visit the "snap snaps" as Holden calls them. I love how the kids think crabs are the coolest thing. They could watch them forever. But not today. It was way past lunchtime and we had to get home.

By the time we got back and they finished their lunches the sun was out and they all wanted to go swimming on the water slide. I watch as their lips turned purple and their little bodies shivered from the freezing hose water. But they all had smiles on their faces.

And I was reminded that it was ice cream time!
