A few weeks before school ended I was approached with an idea on how I can get two days off, away from my kids, to do whatever I want. The idea was that I would watch six kids, including mine, one day a week from 10am to 4pm. I thought "not a half bad idea. It's only one day. I'm in". So, three weeks ago "Kid Co-Op Days" started and I was the first to have all six kids. Luckily it was sunny and what better place for the kids to be than outside. And outside they went with the girls screaming at the top of their lungs in excitement. It didn't take long for the old ninnies that live behind us to close their sliding glass door and blinds. Not to worry, they hate us anyway because we have kids. Their grumpy old people with really plush green grass that I would love to see my kids tear up. Anyways, the night before the kids arrived I grabbed my book and a couple magazines thinking I'll have plenty of time reading since the kids would play with each other and not bother me. The day turned out not to my expectations. It was either someone was tattling on someone else or someone was crying or someone needed juice or go potty or color or wanted to watch movies. It was crazy! I was shoveling lettuce down since I didn't have time to make a sandwich. No wonder Kate Gosselin is so bitchy. If I had that many kids all the time I would be too.
However, the kids did have a great time. They played tons of games and colored pictures together. We even got out the sidewalk chalk and decorated our driveway. The day ended with me grabbing the hose and soaking the kids in their clothes. Here are some pictures from Co-Op Day 1:
