This week I only had four kids since two of them were on vacation. The week had been hot and sunny and I thought it was time for us to invest in a water slide to keep the kids cool and busy in the heat. Not to mention it was going to be perfect for those hot summer days when I have all the kids. So we ended up buying one so large and obnoxious that the old ninnies that live behind couldn't miss.
It was about 93 degrees and the kids played all day on the water slide. I on the other hand was able to turn my skin color from jaundice to a light bronze. Hello tan lines...how I have missed you.
After an exhausting day in the sun we went and had dinner with some friends. Nothing like ribs, saffron risotto and a fresh salad on a beautiful summer's night...
...and smores cookies.
