9th Annual Christmas Cookie Exchange

I have been doing this for 9 years and every year it gets bigger. More people, more Mimosas, more cookies and more weight I gain from eating them. Thank God I bought that cellulite serum! But I love to do it! It's one of my favorite Christmas traditions.

This year there were 15 ladies that baked some of the most delicious cookies and candy. I thought I would change up how I usually do things. So, this year I created a Christmas Cookie Recipe book since over the past years there have been people who have wanted recipe but could never get them. I also added an elephant gift exchange which was a hit and made ornaments. Completely outdid myself and totally screwed myself for next year. How do I make next years cookie event bigger? Ooooh I know, I'll pull an Oprah and surprise them with a trip to the Pillsbury factory!

However, I ended up with this:

I tried to make a rule up midway through that no one could steal from the hostess but that didn't go over so well and the pretty candle holder was stolen from me. Although, the kids think the Penguin Pooper is the best thing ever!

I was impressed with the amount of work and thought that went into the cookies that everyone brought. For me baking this time of year puts me into the holiday spirit. Others (Christi) found it to be more of a spiritual experience as she saw Jesus in one of the cookies.

She wanted to keep the cookie and sell it on EBay but someone ate it. She totally would have made a few bucks.

Thank you to all the ladies that came and made this a fun and special event.
