Well almost. For Ayla's 17 month birthday we got her her very own potty! I know what you're thinking "she's a little too young to start potty training" and you're right. The fun will really begin when she's about 19 months! My mom said I was trained by 20 months, granted it took her a month solid of putting me on the potty every 2 hours, but darn it I'm determined to do the same. With a baby due in September we need to save money any way we can, right?! Of course we had to get the little potty with all the bells and whistles. This thing has a little handle to pretend flush and a toilet paper roll. And when she pees it plays music! Talk about getting a kid all excited about going potty. So we had to have Ayla test it out and she loved it! I'm just hoping that I'll get the same reaction when it's really time to train her. She also seemed to find another use for it. Is this what we get to look forward to on her 21st birthday?

ps Alecia will hate you if you get her potty trained so early. I hope you're prepared to lose a friend...you shouldn't tell her until after your next portrait session!!
Thanks for the advice Kathy! I might have to wait at least a year before I share this with her if I want my baby boy to get a full years worth of pictures.
Yay for Ayla!!! She went poopy already? Holy cow that girl is smart. Way to go Mom and Dad! I'll have to pick me up one of those toilets some day. Is it too early to potty train a week-old baby? :)
My daughter and granddaughter are well taken care of.
