Papa and Grammy Come To Visit

This past week Steve's parents came in from Austin to visit us. And babysit the kids! Steve and I had been looking forward to a night out. And even more so since we were going to celebrate our 4th anniversary. We had a wonderful anniversary. We headed to Seattle and decided to have dinner at Ruth Chris - nothing like a mouth watering steak to satisfy all your taste buds. Got up the next morning and headed to my favorite spa, Nordstrom Spa, for a relaxing massage. Shopped a little and headed home. Nothing fancy. Just quality time with my husband.

We wanted to do something fun and get out of the house. So we loaded up the car and headed to Leavenworth for the weekend.

The weather was perfect and lucky for us they had a little festival going on. So Steve and I (and Holden on my back asleep) walked around enjoying the wine tasting event while Papa and Grammy took Ayla to the town square to enjoy the festive music. Something about Ayla you might not have known...she loves to dance. I have no idea where she gets it from...

...but she's picked up this talent somewhere and when the music starts Ayla's dance-a-thon begins. So, in the town square they had very lively folk music. And Ayla was right there in the center of it all dancing. She danced all by herself and when they stopped playing to take a break they gave her a gift. They gave her a blue handkerchief. Nothing to cheer a two year old up and a place to put her boogies but a blue handkerchief.

After a great time in Leavenworth we headed home to relax. It was really nice to have Grammy and Papa visit and spend some much needed time with the kids. Here are some more pictures from our visit.

Oh, good Lord! Not to make it about ME, but why did you have to choose the photo of me dancing behind you - doing the sprinkler?!!!! This post cracked me up.
