Earlier this month Steve took Ayla to the Daddy Daughter Dance. So naturally, Ayla being the girly girl she is, needed to go shopping for the most beautiful dress. And she found the perfect one. It was the perfect shade of Valentine red with roses swirling all around. Ayla is all about dressing up and insists on being some kind of princess every single day. So when she put on her "Red Princess" dress, as she calls it, she kept twirling and swaying her dress back and forth and kept saying "princess". And what would a dress be if the girl didn't have the hair-do to go with it? So I spent an hour getting her hair perfect and I was really pleased with how it turned out. You're talking to a girl that still doesn't know how to french braid and spends most of her days with her hair in a pony tail.
Steve said they had a really fun time and all Ayla did was run around being a 2 year old. But she had the time of her life doing it. After the dance they went for ice cream and Ayla specifically asked for whip cream, sprinkles and cherries on her ice cream. And whatever daddy's princess wants, daddy's princess gets!
